SUMMARY: With supervision, provides online
communications assistance to the Development Department
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Assists the Development/Communications Department with data entry
and online communications including social media planning, design,
website photo galleries, webpage refreshes, special events
promotions, Media Relations, and special projects.
- Perform general administrative duties as assigned.
CONDITIONS:
Equipment Used: Computer (Dell compatible systems
using Windows) IMac, Adobe creative suite, Canva.com, multi-line
telephone, copy machine, scanner, and printers.
Performance Standard: Must learn and comply with all
acceptable practices related to online accessibility
Work Environment: Multiple indoor and outdoor
environments around campus with a variety of sound, lighting, and
temperature conditions.
Work Schedule: Hours TBD based on student’s
availability Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm timeframe. This
opportunity is unpaid and must be used for credit. Interns can work
primarily remotely/virtual. This could be a summer or fall internship.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter,
LinkedIn, WordPress, and Canva.com
- Student studying communications or related field in an
undergraduate or graduate program required.
